Sentinel Data Access Annual Report 2018Sentinel Data Access Annual Report 2018
08 May 2019
We are pleased to publish the fourth Sentinel Data Access Annual Report. This report for 2018 follows directly on from the 2017 report, and analyses the uptake of Copernicus Sentinel data and the performance of the Sentinel Data Access System during the period from 1 December 2017 to 30 November 2018.
By the end of the reporting period, the Sentinel Data Access System was supporting 187,800 registered users, a daily publication rate of over 26,500 products/day, and an average daily download volume of 166 TiB. A total of 122.9 million products had been downloaded by users since the start of data access operations, with a total data volume of 86.9 PiB. The report provides the detailed statistics behind these numbers, as well as examining the demographics of users, the status of agreements with collaborative and international partners, the challenges and solutions found by the Data Access Operations team in publishing and disseminating such huge volumes of data, and the outlook for the future.

Copernicus SYNERGY Sentinel-3A and Sentinel-3B products on Collaborative Data Hub
22 Mar 2019
ESA is pleased to announce the official release of the Copernicus SYNERGY Sentinel-3A and Sentinel-3B products on Collaborative Data Hub Node1 Node2 Node3.
Copernicus Sentinel-3A and Sentinel-3B Synergy products will be published on Collaborative Data Hubs from 25 March 2019.
The transition from the Copernicus Sentinel-3 Pre-operations Hub to Collaborative Data Hub Node1, includes the publication of the NTC historical data belonging to the Collection Baseline 002 (Copernicus Sentinel 3 Synergy Product Notice), that corresponds to Processing Baseline n. 2.44 for Sentinel 3A and n. 1.16 for Sentinel 3B.
The NTC historical data will be gradually put online in parallel to the fresh data production only on Collaborative Data Hub Node1
The Copernicus Sentinel-3 Pre-Operations Hub will continue to publish fresh data until completion of the transition of the NTC historical dataset on Collaborative Data Hub Node1.
Please be aware that in the applicable Processing Baseline it has been introduced a change in the Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and this impacts products generated since the 16/01/2019: the previous NDVI range [-0.612; 0.408] has been modified into the new one [-0.08; 0.92]. The Quicklook Generator on Data Hub will be updated to take into account this change as soon as possible.
