Copernicus SLSTR Sentinel-3A and-3B data to be available on Collaborative Data Hub

14 Mar 2019
ESA is pleased to announce the official release of the Copernicus Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer (SLSTR) Sentinel-3A and -3B products on the Collaborative Data Hub.
Copernicus Sentinel-3A SLSTR products will be published on the Collaborative Data Hub on 20 March 2019 and the Sentinel-3B products will follow the next day on 21 March.
The transition from the S3 Pre-operations Hub to Collaborative Data Hub includes the publication on the Access Node 1 of the Non-Time Critical (NTC) historical data belonging to the 2.45 Processing Baseline – Collection Baseline 003 (a reference will be provided as soon as available) replacing the previous Collection Baseline 002.
More specifically, the Copernicus Sentinel-3A SLSTR data has been re-processed to Processing Baseline 2.45, providing a homogeneous time series from the start of the S3A mission aligned to the current S3A and S3B processing baseline.
The S3-A re-processed dataset will cover Level-1 and Land Level-2 products (SL_1_RBT and SL_2_LST) with sensing date from 19 April 2016 to 05 April 2018.
Products can be identified by filenames ending with '*_LR1_R_NT_003';
Where R (re-processed) products at LR1 (Land Reprocessing Centre #1) belong to product Collection Baseline 003; in contrast to the old products which ended with '*_LN2_O_NT_00x', with x equal to 1 or 2.
The NTC historical data will gradually be released on Node 1 in the following month in parallel to the new data production.
The NRT and NTC systematic fresh data will be published with the rolling policies of the respective Access Nodes.
The Sentinel-3 Pre-Operational Hub will continue to publish new data until completion of the transition of the NTC historical dataset to the Access Node 1.

Data Access services resumed (03 March 2019, 01:45 UTC)

03 Mar 2019
Users are informed that the infrastructure incident that caused a degradation of the data access services has been solved as of 03 March 2019 at 01:45 UTC.
The incident was caused by a disk failure in the front-end nodes accessing the storage to which the virtual machines are connected. The FlexProtect job run for several hours for repairing the nodes and drives and for protecting the data. It took the majority of resources. During this time the performance for accessing the data on the storage were degraded and both the users downloads and the products publication were affected.
Data fetching from the PDGSs has been resumed. Products publication on all data access services is gradually absorbing the production backlog and download rates are back to nominal.

We apologise for the inconvenience that this might have caused to your activity.
