Collaborative Data Hub Node 1 unscheduled downtimes 31-August-2018

Collaborative users are informed that an unscheduled service downtime occurred on access node 1 from 00:55 UTC to 01:30 UTC of the 31 August 2018.
At 08:50 UTC another downtime has started and it is currently under resolution. The service will be restored at 09:45 UTC. Products publication is delayed. Backlog is currently in the process of being recovered.
Root cause is under investigation.

Due to a ground segment anomaly that occurred on 22 August 2018 at approximately 13:00 UTC, all Sentinel-3A NRT/NTC/STC L1 and L2 user data covering a sensing time from 11:23 UTC to 13:04 UTC are unavailable.
The absolute sensing orbits impacted are 13086 and 13087, relative orbits 23 and 24 of cycle 35.

Due to a Sentinel-3A planned SLSTR instrument maintenance activity all NRT/NTC L1 and L2 user products covering a sensing time from 08:50 to 13:55 UTC on 28 August 2018 are unavailable.


Sentinel-2A MSI decontamination between 14 and 17 September 2018

A routine decontamination activity of the Sentinel-2A MSI is planned to take place over a continuous period of 24-hours between 15 and 16 September, from 07:00 to 07:00 UTC (corresponding to the period between absolute orbits 16877 to 16891). During this temporal window, no MSI acquisition will take place.
Correlated calibration activities will be performed around the decontamination period which will affect the nominal acquisition plan even further between 14 and 17 September from 17:00 to 09:20 UTC.

Sentinel-2A products (orbit range 16381 to 16392) affected by geolocation error

Due to an on-board anomaly triggered following the collision avoidance manoeuvre performed on 12 August 2018, the Sentinel-2A products with sensing orbit in the range 16381 - 16392 have been noted with a wrong geolocation and will be removed from the DataHub catalogue.
An attempt to recover the products will be contemplated depending on the outcome of the anomaly investigation. We regret any inconvenience that this may cause.

Users are informed that Sentinel-2 products publication is back to nominal operations.
A storage performance issue (see news) was affecting the timeliness of publication of the products on the Data Hubs of 12-27 hours with respect to their generation time instead of the nominal 6-7 hours.
The problem has been fixed.

Due to a circulation delay of some mandatory auxiliary data, the production of Sentinel-3 SRAL STC products acquired between 01:29 and 22:30 UTC on 14 July 2018 is delayed and under recovery.

Users are informed that, as from 12 July 2018. 18:00 UTC, the Sentinel-2 products publication is delayed and cumulating backlog on all the Data Hub access points, due to an infrastructure problem at the core dissemination centre.
The hosting provider is investigating the issue and working for restoring the publication rates to their nominal conditions as soon as possible.

Publication of Sentinel-2A single tile repackaged products for Collaborative Ground Segmen...

Further to the repackaging of Sentinel-2A historic data that are being published on scihub as per news https://scihub.copernicus.eu/news/News00327, colhub users are informed that a dedicated Relay Node will support the redistribution of these products towards the Collaborative Ground Segments. The re-packaged products will be published in batches to allow a progressive download of the entire repackaged dataset.

Temporary publication delay of Sentinel-2B L1C products in the Data Hubs

As a consequence of a ground segment anomaly, the availability in the Data Hubs of several S2B L1C products with sensing date between 27 June and 29 June is delayed.
The anomaly has been solved and the recovery of the missing products has been started and is expected to be completed by Monday 02/07.
