Collaborative users are informed that OVH is facing a major electrical problem at their data centre in Strasbourg where ColHub Node 2 is running. ColHub Node 2 service has been down since 6:19 UTC of the 9th of November 2017.
Investigation of the problem with ERDF (the national company in charge of the electrical network) is ongoing.

S-3A Data Unavailability (August 24th/ September 11th and 13th, 2017)

Due to Radio Frequency Interference events with other spacecraft on 24 August and 11 and 13 September 2017, some data was lost for Sentinel-3A during the downlink orbits 7914, 8172 and 8194.
The absolute sensing orbits involved were 7913 (relative orbit 240 of cycle 21), 8171 (relative orbit 113 of cycle 22), 8172 (relative orbit 114 of cycle 22) and 8193 (relative orbit 135 of cycle 22).
This impacted the data from the instruments for the following UTC time periods:

Following the announcement on 31 October 2017, the ground segment anomaly affecting the publication of Sentinel-2A products on the Data Hub services was resolved on 02 November.
The recovery of the Sentinel-2A data missing between 31 October and 02 November is planned to be completed this week.

A maintenance activity is foreseen on Monday, the 6th of November 2017, from 8:30 UTC to 16:30 UTC on the Collaborative Data Hub Node 2 for updating the datahub software to the same version available on Node 1.

We are pleased to inform you that on the 2nd of November 2017 at around 16:05 UTC has started the publication of the Sentinel-3A SRAL products on both nodes of the Collaborative Data service as per news published on the 31st of October.
All the three SRAL production timeliness (NRT, STC and NTC) are made available to the collaborative users.

Temporary publication delay of Sentinel-2A products in the Data Hubs since 31 October 2017

As a consequence of a ground segment anomaly, the availability of Sentinel-2A products in the data hubs is delayed as of today, 31 October 2017.

Sentinel-3A SRAL joins the Collaborative Data Hub: 2 November 2017

Following the transition of Sentinel-3A into routine operations after a successful Routine Operations Readiness Review, the L1B, L1A, L1BS and L2 Near-Real-Time (NRT), Short-Time-Critical (STC) and Non-Time-Critical (NTC) productions of the SAR Radar Altimeter (SRAL) instrument will start to be published on the Collaborative Data Hub service from Thursday, 2nd of November 2017.
The products will be available on both access points: Node 1 and Node 2.

Missing Sentinel-2B data on 25 and 26 October 2017

As a consequence of an error in the mission planning procedure, orbit 3324 from Sentinel-2B on 25 October 2017 has been lost and orbits 3323, 3325, 3331, 3332 and 3334 on 25 and 26 October have been partially lost.
The issue was resolved on 26 October at 13:00 UTC following a re-planning of the spacecraft.

Sentinel-2 Level-1C processing baseline 02.06 effective since 23 October 2017

As formerly anticipated in news released on 11/10/2017, we are pleased to confirm that the new processing baseline 02.06 featuring the product format evolution described in the Product Specifications Document issue 14.3 took effect on 23 October 2017. The transition to baseline 02.06 is tagged in every new product generated starting from Sentinel-2A orbit 12198 and Sentinel-2B orbit 3289.
Please note that a typo in one XSD schema distributed as part of the Product Specification Document issue 14.3 has been detected and corrected. The zip attachment with the corrected XSD schemas has now been updated in the document.

Collaborative users are informed that on Monday, 30 October 2017, there will be a maintenance on the Collaborative Data Hub Node 1 (https://colhub.copernicus.eu/dhus) for updating the DHuS software.
The maintenance activity will start at 8:30 UTC and end at 16:30 UTC. During the maintenance window service downtimes might occur.

Sentinel-1 users are here reminded that a minor change in the Sentinel-1 product format will occur by end of 2017/beginning of 2018 and are invited to check the new product specifications and sample products available here.

Users are informed that Sentinel-2 Level-1C products will start being distributed with a slightly updated format as of 23 October 2017.
This small evolution features the following main changes:
Detailed information including highlights on the changes implemented is provided in the updated Sentinel-2 Products Specification Document (PSD version 14.3) . Corresponding XSD schemas are also provided with the PSD v. 14.3 document as attachment.
Furthermore, a new L1C sample product is available for download.
As of the 23 October, the routine production featuring this evolution will tag every product with the new processing baseline number 02.06 reported in the product filename and metadata.
The SNAP Software and Sen2Cor processor are being aligned in parallel to the new format and will be made available by mid-October. Backward compatibility with previous formats will be maintained.
This small evolution features the following main changes:
- An update of the product-level Metadata file in the structure holding the quality control report summary references
- An update of the 'Product Discriminator' trailer of the product name and filename
